We are anxious to see this flower. Its parent Lycaste Balliae ‘Chimera’ had an intriguing flower, pink with mottled white stripes. The initial thought was a virus but testing was negative so we selfed it to see what the flower will look like. We will test again before we ship any out. Lycaste are susceptible to the Cymbidium mosaic virus and it is hard to tell the problem exists without running the test.
